Frank Mulligan added the teams second score with Monahan chipping in again before St. Josephs registered their first score through Aaron Dennison. Newtown’s dominance was telling in the opening exchanges, with Frank Mulligan having a goal chance saved after 29 minutes. Colm Monahan started the second half as he started the first, converting a free after an Ederney player lifted the ball off the ground. James Connolly was next to add to the teams score, Frank Mulligan collecting a long ball and playing Connolly who dispatched over the bar. James Maguire added a point for the home team just before St. Josephs made an attempt to get back into the game. Route one football paid dividends as a long ball was collected and finished to the net to bring the gap back to 5 points. Newtown however upped their game with Kevin Connolly knocking over an excellent side line kick with Chrissy Reilly completing the Newtown scoring to record a convincing win over St. Josephs.

Chrissy scored?!? How did he not get a nose bleed being that far up the field?!
Good win lads.
